Why isn’t [some new feature] available on my koala?

When releasing new updates, we usually update the Android and iOS versions first – Mac, windows, linux and raspberry pi updates happen after a few days usually. (PS: we release Android first!)

Reason 1: Update not installed

The main reason the feature is not appearing is that you haven’t installed the latest update. You need to install the latest update to have the new feature if it was just released.

You may not have auto-update enabled on your phone, in which case you will have to update manually. To update, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, search for Koala and press the bit UPDATE button.

Then open koala again – if it’s still not showing the feature, you may need to close koala again by swiping it away or failing that, reboot your phone to make sure.

If the update still isn’t showing, go to the EXTRAS page and check the version number is the same as the one on the App Store/google play store.

Reason 2: Trying to update within a few minutes of announcement

If the update has been announced within the last hour, it may not have reached across the whole internet and you will have to wait a few minutes until apple/google upload it to all its servers. You can check this by going to the App Store page and reading the “What’s new” section to see if the new feature is available yet.

Reason 3: Can’t find the feature in Koala

If you have the correct version number and the feature is still not showing up, you may be looking in the wrong place for the feature – pls visit the elf audio YouTube channel and watch the tutorial about the feature to make sure you know how to access it. Also, the feature may be part of an in-app purchase you do not own – this is usually *very* clearly stated – ie. if its part of the Samurai or Mixer in-app purchases.
