This policy explains what data Mazbox Limited, trading as elf audio ("we", "us"), collects when you use koalasampler.com, the Koala Sampler plugin and our apps, and what we do with it. Short version: we collect as little as we can, we don't sell it, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who we are

The plugin

When you run the plugin it sends us some information about your computer. We use this to keep track of how many computers your licence is active on. When you buy or activate a licence we associate this information with your email address so we can find your licence and show your computers in your account. Your projects and audio never leave your computer.

Buying a licence

Checkout is run by Paddle, our merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details, billing address and email under its own privacy policy. We never see your card number. Paddle tells us your email, the product bought, the transaction ID and your country so we can issue and support the licence.

Your account

Your account at koalasampler.com holds your email address, your licences, the computers each licence is active on and when they were last seen. Sign-in works by emailing you a link, so we never store a password.

The iOS and Android apps

Koala on iOS and Android doesn't require an account and doesn't send us your projects or audio. Purchases go through Apple or Google under their privacy policies. The app may ask permission to use the microphone, files and photos, all of which stay on your device.

Who we share data with

Only the service providers named above (such as Paddle) and only for the purposes described. We don't sell data and we don't share it with advertisers. We'll disclose data if legally required to.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deleting licence data will cancel the licence, since we can't verify it afterwards. Email support@koalasampler.com and we'll reply within a month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or your local data protection authority.

We'll update this page if our practices change. The date at the top says when it was last revised.
